The Technology & Automation Track Within CPES
MUIA — Med Use Intelligence & Automation — is the technology-focused track within CPES. Launched in 2025 out of the Autonomous Pharmacy Board, MUIA was created to provide a more focused forum for pharmacy automation, data intelligence, AI, and the tools reshaping pharmacy operations.
While CPES addresses the broader priorities of health system pharmacy leadership, MUIA offers more concentrated discussion around the technologies and operational decisions that pharmacy leaders are actively evaluating and implementing.
Pharmacy is one of the fastest-evolving areas of the health system. MUIA exists to explore the technologies, automation, and intelligence leaders need to compete, grow, and operate more effectively.
